AFI sale en la revista "REVOLVER"  para el mes de Octubre/Noviembre. para hablar sobre el nuevo álbum "Burials".

Jade Puget fue entrevistado por Anne Erickson  de la pagina "Gibson", para hablar del álbum "Burials":
Para Jade el tema que mas le gusta en particular es "No Resurrection".
 Congratulations on your upcoming album, Burials, out Oct. 22. Did one song lead the way for the rest of the album?

It’s a pretty eclectic album, so it’s hard to choose one song. I guess you can say that the first song you write really kind of sets the tone, and that’s a song called “No Resurrection” So, if I had to choose one song that encapsulates the album, it would be that song.

Su primera guitarra fue una  Les Paul:

My first guitar that I ever played in a band, and really my first electric guitar, was a Les Paul Studio, so I luckily got to start with a great guitar—I didn’t have to start with some cheap knockoff or something. That kind of set the tone for the rest of my life and my career as a musician, and I’ve been playing Les Pauls ever since. They sound great. They look cool. It’s the best guitar, in my opinion, all around. To this day, I have a ton of Les Pauls. I play them onstage, and I play them in the studio.

Davey & Jade; entrevistados por la radio "105.7 The Point"

La estación de radio "105.7 The Point" tuvo la oportunidad de entrevistar a Davey Habok y Jade Puget:

Davey Havok fue entrevistado por "Metal Hammer"

Merlin del sitio "Metal Hammer" tuvo la oportunidad de entrevistar a Davey Havok.  Una entrevista muy particular; hacen un recurrido por su historia musical de davey, pasando desde 1995, 2000 y 2013, su evolución como escritor en cuanto a sus letras.
El entrevistador habla sobre los fans del álbum "The Art Of Drowning Days" y si se va a mantener esa misma estética con el nuevo álbum "Burials", y Davey Havok respondió; que no puede depender de los fans que surgieron en el 97 y que si se mantienen hasta ahora, es importante para el seguimiento de AFI:

“To be honest, it may or may not be depending on how long those fans have stuck around. If those fans are still here and they came in in ’97 then I think it’s extremely relevant because if you’re still with us at this point it shows that you have a really true understanding of AFI and a band who evolves with every record. If you see and appreciate that with each album there is growth then I think you will understand that, as in the past, what we are delivering with Burials is something new, something fresh and something that doesn’t really sound like Crash Love or Sing The Sorrow or Black Sails…. It is different whilst keeping with the tone of what we do. It’s very honest and very pure, grew very naturally and represents who we are now as musicians and writers.”

El entrevistador habla sobre las bandas que hacen shows de aniversarios. El año que viene "Black Sails in the Sunset" comple 15 años y le pregunta a Davey si haría un show para tocar ese álbum. Y Davey le responde; que no tiene ningún interés en hacer algo así, que todo tiene un tiempo y un lugar, eran buenos tiempos, pero esos tiempos han terminado:

“I have no interest in doing something like that. I’m proud of all of what we created, it was all a time and a place and they were great times, but those times are over. It would feel very inappropriate for us to try and go back and re-create them. If I was ever to do something like that, it would mean something was terribly terribly wrong with me.”

Adan Carson fue entrevistado por "AMH Network" de Australia

El sitio "AMH Network" tuvo la oportunidad de entrevistar a Adam Carson, para hablar sobre el nuevo material de AFI "Burials" y su regreso al festival "soundwave"  que se realiza en Australia.

Adam Hablo sobre el nuevo álbum "Burials" y dice que hay canciones más rápidas, canciones melódicas y canciones más oscuras. Pero las 13 canciones hace un conjunto:

Well there is thirteen songs on the record and it’s kind of a typical AFI release where there’s a bunch of different types of sings but they share certain themes and certain sounds and they are uniformed but the songs can be all over the map. There’s faster songs, and melodic songs, and darker songs and heavier songs but they all belong together. When you put all thirteen of them together it’s a journey. I think those two songs are a bit indicative of what the record sounds like.

Tambien habla sobre "Crash Love" y dice que para grabar ese disco... mucho dependió del estado de animo de Davey Havok:

I agree that if you compare Crash Love to Burials, Burials is a darker record but I don’t think Crash Love was a walk in the park either. I think that there was a lot of stuff going on for all of us, especially for Davey (Havok) who writes the lyrics. He’s always putting so much of himself in his lyrics and I think that he was in a place emotionally where that was really all he could write about. I think the lyrics reflect that, and I think that the music is informed by the lyrics to a certain extent. I think that just in general the music is a bit darker, the words are darker, the presentation is darker. It’s just sort of a reflection on where the band was in the time it was written.
